Great article! Saint Thomas Aquinas, probably echoing Plato, said that the four traps of evil opposing man’s spirit / holiness / connection to God were pleasure, power, wealth, and honor.

FYI, Catholic traditionalists (aka trad Catholics, traditional Latin Mass Catholics) aren’t advocating the “traditionalism” of Steve Bannon et al, but the original teachings of the Catholic Church that have been faithfully passed down through the ages since Jesus Christ.

May God bless and guide you & your loved ones!

I’m keenly interested in all the references to this “Golden Era”, so this is a very timely article. The general mood today is optimism across America, but I feel a sense of dread at a new level of authoritarianism. All that’s needed is the right big event and crisis.

Name me an -ism that doesn’t have an Elite. Even anarchism, in practical terms. It’s part of the human condition.

“Recall the 2020 interview I did with Prof Ben Teitelbaum where he talked about how Bannon subscribed to the Kali Yuga final cycle and the alt-right’s strange idea of how we’ve become too “material” and need to go back to a more authoritarian style of leadership to usher in the Golden Age.”

It seems we’re in this phase of the Turning now that Trump is POTUS. Just look at what he and his cabinet picks are doing to disrupt government under the guise of bringing in the Golden Age.

That’s right. I believe the Biblical flood account is the basis for the Atlantis myth. And that the Tartaria conspiracy theories pushed by some people in the right is similar to the Atlantis myth.

So Golden Age = Days of Noah = Atlantis = Tartaria.

“As in the days of Noah, so shall the coming of the Son of Man be.”
